More local love to LA producers/labels (Four Track Minds, Doc Marten's Sublevel Label, Utensil Recordings) and an encounter with Tech-House... Don't worry, there's still soul in the machine and even some organic soul--Bill Withers shows up on this set and Mark de Clive-Lowe has some help from Bembe Segue on "Heaven." It's kind of "all over the place" but in a connected way... As Gangstarr would say "You Know My Steez..."
This is my first attempt at podcasting, although I'd done online radio before. I'd returned from 3 weeks in Europe mostly in Barcelona, but also a few days in Switzerland courtesy of great friends Dj Zed and Kat La Luna. I start the show out with another Dj friend's music, Professor Angel Dust of Bongo Lounge in Barcelona and went on to play mostly music I'd picked up while in Europe. Most of the tracks are deep house, but there's some other fun stuff that isn't--including some arabic bootleg/mashups i picked up in Barri Gotic...

I found a few "boogaloo breaks" (boogaloo songs that have been sampled) and some dance stuff i was excited about--some latin, some not. Let me know what you think...
This set is a little different than I expected for some reason... I started off with some old records i was given (George Duke, Donny Hathaway, Taj Mahal) and wound up playing some newer stuff I've either bought or been sent on promo (Outkast, Jurassic 5, Sa-Ra Creative Partners.) The show wraps up with something a little "special..."
